A reputable, family-owned construction company is seeking a skilled Project Quantity Surveyor to join their team. With nearly 50 years of experience in delivering large-scale, high-quality projects across London and the South East, the company is renowned for its work in residential, hospitality, commercial, and public sector construction. They specialise in complex, high-density developments and have a strong track record of successful project delivery.
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing a new hotel development in Kensington. This high-profile project has a 3-year timeline and requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects, from cost estimation and budgeting to procurement and final accounts. You will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Manage all aspects of cost control for the project, including preparing valuations, payment applications, and cost reporting.
* Procure subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating terms and ensuring value for money.
* Oversee contractual documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Work closely with the project team to monitor progress and address any financial risks or opportunities.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a background large in residential, hospitality, or commercial construction projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost management techniques.
* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
