Are you a detail-oriented Packaging Technologist seeking a new challenge? We're looking for a Packaging Technologist to join our team in Peterborough. In this role, you'll be integral to managing a variety of packaging development projects within our foodservice and industrial sectors, with a focus on Flavour Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure project briefs are SMART, coordinating with cross-functional teams.

* Develop packaging timelines and risk registers, ensuring proactive management.

* Manage packaging development projects, from trials to outcome reporting.

* Ensure project deliverables meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.

Packaging Specifications and Compliance:

* Maintain packaging specifications and uphold regulatory compliance.

* Oversee food contact certification processes with suppliers and regulatory bodies.

* Ensure timely completion of pallet plans.

Standards and Validation:

* Establish packaging standards through factory trials, gaining necessary approvals.

* Participate in technical validation of new packaging equipment if required.

Cost Optimisation and Innovation:

* Drive cost-saving initiatives while seeking out new technologies for growth.

* Generate innovative packaging solutions to capitalize on emerging opportunities.

Communication and Collaboration:

* Facilitate effective decision-making by communicating technical information and risks.

* Work collaboratively with team members to implement new packaging solutions.

Person Specification: Education: Graduate in Packaging preferred, or relevant Science degree with packaging R&D experience.

Experience: Proven track record in packaging, preferably in food industry with FFS equipment.

Skills: Strong PCMS office proficiency, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage workload independently.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with a range of packaging materials and software like AutoCAD, Cape Pack, and SolidWorks.
