A Senior Software Engineer at Ford Digital loves to code, puts the customer first, finds purpose in their work, is driven to uncover better ways of developing digital products by doing it and helping others to do it. The team we’re building love to work in pairs or ensembles and have extensive experience in Test-Driven Development of iOS apps. We work largely remotely, typically with one day per week on site (details below). We believe strongly in the benefits of Test-Driven Development, Trunk-Based Development (no Pull-Requests), Continuous Deployment (where practicable), Pair/Ensemble Programming and other related practices, many inspired by eXtreme Programming.
We ship apps internally multiple times per day, with releases to the App Store fortnightly. We aspire to ship more often and make App Store releases as frequently as practical. Quality is paramount, as maintaining a negligible change failure rate is important to us.
