Infrastructure and Security Engineer
£Castle Donington (3 days per week in the office)
Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit another Infrastructure and Security Engineer to join their growing team.
The purpose of the role to ensure the stability, security and efficiency of the company's infrastructure via managing and optimising their networks, systems, servers, databases and other components to maintain a resilient IT environment. You will also identify and mitigate cybersecurity threats, implement robust security protocols and respond promptly to incidents to protect sensitive data.
IT Infrastructure and Security Expertise:
Extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure, including Azure AD, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and Patch Management.
Practical knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure (IaaS, PaaS) and Microsoft Office 365.
~ Proven ability to monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats.
Experience in conducting security audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing.
~ Compliance and Security Frameworks:
Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST and CIS.
~ Advanced troubleshooting skills for second-line and third-line support to address infrastructure and security-related issues with minimal disruption.
~ Strong communication skills to provide technical guidance and deliver training.
Experience in creating detailed documentation, including IT processes, policies, and knowledge articles.
Ideally I am looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in an infrastructure support role along with a basic knowledge of cybersecurity.
