Job Description

We are seeking an Agile Project Manager / Scrum Master who is passionate about driving projects to success, facilitating agile ceremonies, and ensuring effective collaboration across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a technical background, enabling them to understand the complexities and nuances of software development, and have proven experience in agile project management. This role requires a dynamic individual who can adapt to rapidly changing environments, enforce deadlines, and inspire teams to achieve their best.

Job Qualifications:

  • A technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an agile project management role, preferably within a software development or IT environment.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile project management certification.
  • Strong technical acumen, with an ability to understand and communicate complex technical issues.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with a capacity to lead by example and influence without authority.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence) and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • A background in software development or experience working closely with engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope in a high-growth tech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, sprint reviews) to ensure clear communication and effective project management.
  • Manage JIRA; oversee project setups, backlog maintenance, and sprint tracking to ensure organization and visibility.
  • Act as a liaison between teams, ensuring efficient communication and follow-up on action items.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, adjusting as necessary to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Drive projects towards timely delivery, identifying and removing blockers, and maintaining team focus and motivation.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders, fostering an environment of teamwork and continuous improvement.
