Circuit Breaker Sales & Maintenance Services Ltd or CBSMS, is a dynamic Circuit Breaker Maintenance business located in South Kirkby, Pontefract. Specializing in maintenance of Circuit breakers, LV Switchgear, and Retrofit solutions, we are dedicated to ensuring optimal performance and safety of electrical distribution equipment for our clients.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing on-site services on Electrical Distribution equipment, primarily focusing on Low Voltage Switchgear and Circuit Breakers. While previous experience in LV Switchgear is necessary, we are willing to provide further training for electrically qualified individuals.

Hours: 32 hours per week with frequent overtime available. Working days include Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities

  • Attend customer sites to conduct site services on Electrical Distribution equipment, specializing in Low Voltage Switchgear and Circuit Breakers.
  • Possess prior knowledge and experience with various Air Circuit Breakers, which would be highly advantageous.
  • Plan and execute site-based electro-mechanical services, including maintenance, repairs, installation, upgrades, and testing of LV products.
  • Conduct workshop-based services such as overhauls, repairs, refurbishments, and testing of LV products.
  • Undertake workshop development tasks as necessary to enhance operational efficiency and quality of services.
  • Generate comprehensive post-job documentation, including site and workshop reports, test sheets, etc.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as hotel bookings, expense claims, and other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in LV Switchgear maintenance and repair is essential.
  • Electrical qualifications are preferred, but not mandatory; however, a willingness to undergo further training is required.
  • Strong knowledge of various Air Circuit Breakers is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, execute, and report on-site and workshop-based services.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites as needed.
