Laboratory Technician - Summer Placement

Working within a busy, fast paced laboratory, performing microbiological testing on a high volume of water samples, using filtration and plating techniques. To assist in the efficient day-to-day operation of the laboratory. To share the vision of providing the best possible quality to ensure each sample is processed with precision and accuracy.
Preparation and analysis of water samples through filtration and plating techniques, utilising good laboratory practice and techniques.
Employgood time management and prioritisesamples to ensure they are testing within stability.
Maintenance of accurate and records as detailed in the quality procedures.
Undertakegood housekeeping, maintaining a tidy work environmentand stock management.
Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology
Proficient in Microsoft Office
