First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Vehicle Mechanic behalf of one of our clients.In this role you will be responsible for support on-site customer equipment failure inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, repairs & warranty work.Diagnostics, maintenance and repair of military vehicles and equipment, on-site and in the field, in compliance with Company technical service and statutory regulations
Independent deployment at a customer’s site, with responsibility for order processing and contractual documentation
Deployment worldwide (potential for)
Compliance with and monitoring of statutory regulations, in particular those involving safety at work and environmental protection
Independent management of a facility in collaboration with a technical team
Delivery of training tasks, internally and externally with customer community
Execution of fault-finding, defect diagnosis, planned & un-planned maintenance and repair work at all relevant stages
Generation of work breakdown structures, cost estimates, and performance specifications
Training and instructing new employees
C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair level 3 (or equivalent)
Military vehicle technical / maintenance experience
Driving licence Class C (HGV2) minimum
Experience in vehicle inspection, maintenance & repair, ideally in the field of military equipment, heavy commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery or specialist vehicle manufacture
Skill and experience in the operation of automotive diagnostic equipment, diagnostic fault finding and troubleshooting
Knowledge of English language, written and spoken
Basic knowledge of German language
Good PC skills, particularly with the common MS Office applications
Recent exposure to electronic fleet management systems
