Senior Civil Engineer for Offshore Substations
12 month contract with the view to extend - outside IR35 if based in the UK - Remote
Hunter Philips are currently searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to work on the offshore substation and structures for a large offshore wind farm in Europe. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well backed developer who are embarking on an exciting journey to develop several ground breaking offshore wind projects.
Key job responsibilities:
# Take responsibility for the civil & structural elements of the project, specifically relating to the Offshore Substation
# Working with the supply chain to tender for EPC companies to supply the various civil and structural elements of the project
# Review proposed designs to ensure they are fit for purpose and fit the specification requirements
# Carry out geotechnical investigations to evaluate soil characteristics and seabed conditions at project sites
# Conduct geotechnical analysis to establish key foundation design parameters, including bearing capacity, settlement, and lateral stability

Key requirements:
~ Degree educated in civil or structural engineering
~5 + years experience as a Civil Engineer working with offshore wind farms
~ Experience of working with Offshore Substations
~ Must have completed at least 2 offshore wind projects
~ Experienced in the key materials commonly used for offshore wind projects
~ Experienced with structural analysis calculations
~ Have excellent written and spoken English language skills

Commercials & logistics:
~ Excellent daily rate available
~ Outside of IR35 status if UK based Contractor
~12 month contract initially
~ Remote based with one week per month requirement to travel to the HQ in Europe
