Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive (BDE) to join their team. The BDE will play a pivotal role in driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and potential markets within the energy sector.
- Analyse market data to develop strategies that align with industry trends and client needs.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
3. Sales & Revenue Generation
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation, proposal writing, and closing deals.
4. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business development plans and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies, adjusting as necessary to meet business goals.
5. Industry Networking & Events
- Attend industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to promote the consultancy and establish new business connections.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
6. Proposal & Contract Management
- Prepare detailed business proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to win new projects.
- Ensure all proposals align with the consultancy's objectives and the client's requirements.
7. Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Work closely with technical, project management, and marketing teams to ensure the successful delivery of services.
- Provide market feedback and insights to help shape the consultancy's service offerings and business strategy.
8. Reporting & Forecasting
- Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market conditions.
- Forecast future business opportunities and contribute to budgeting and financial planning.
9. Risk Management
- Identify potential risks in the business development process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
10. Continuous Improvement
- Continuously seek ways to improve business development processes and practices.
- Stay informed about best practices in business development within the energy sector.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the consultancy or energy sector.
- Strong understanding of sustainability practices and energy efficiency solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
