Reporting to the Executive Director of Homes, the Director of Development & Asset Strategy will be responsible for FCHO strategies relating to Development, Asset Strategy, Health & Safety, and Compliance. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring strong performance across these functions and providing clear leadership to Heads of Service and colleagues within these teams, as well as working closely with other senior managers and FCHO partners to meet the organisation's strategic objectives.

Direct the overall delivery of the Development, Asset Investment Strategy, Health & Safety and Compliance front-line services to ensure exceptional delivery.
Lead the development of FCHO strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve corporate aims and deliver high-quality, cost-effective homes and services.
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and FCHO service standards and performance targets.
Manage and allocate financial budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and policy compliance.
Lead performance management, ensuring team alignment with organisational aims, objectives, and service standards.
Practical working knowledge of the social housing sector, specifically in senior Development focused roles.
Proven track record of successfully managing a large and innovative development programme.
Excellent understanding of day-to-day operations relating to Assets and Health, Safety and Compliance.
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to housing management, asset management and development for a housing organisation.
Proven experience of delivering high quality services to customers with consideration given to continuous improvement and value for money.
Effectively leading multi-disciplinary teams, people, budgets and performance at a senior level with a range of different professionals and/or functions.
