We are looking to appoint to the role of Specialty Doctor in Haematology As a Trust we pride ourselves in supporting our Medical Staff in their career development This substantive full-time post has been developed to provide middle grade support for chemotherapy services at the Lister Hospital and to support clinical haematology services across the trust.
The post holder will be responsible to the Clinical Director of Pathology, at the Lister Hospital, Dr Ashish Narula. This is an excellent opportunity within the Haematology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, which enjoys a unique geographical location close to London and Cambridge. To recognise and initiate management of newly occurring medical problems in patients receiving anti-cancer treatment.
To assess and manage new and follow up out patients in Haemato-oncology clinics under the supervision of the appropriate Consultant specialist
To liaise with chemotherapy specialist nurses over the organisation and delivery of chemotherapy

Qualifications / Training
Shall have completed at least four years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty; Demonstrate an interest in, commitment to and have broad experience in Haematology
