This leading, national law firm is currently looking to hire a Head of Department for its Court of Protection department. This firm has offices across the North and will require visits to all locations but can be based on a hybrid basis out of the Leeds office. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to lead and develop a well-established Court of Protection and Private Client team, delivering the plans and strategies for the department.
You will need to have the required skills and experience to be appointed as a Director of the Trust Corporation and be a qualified Solicitor, along with experience of successfully leading a Court of Protection Team and running a wide variety of Deputyship and Trust matters. - Ensure the management of all client cases, in compliance with relevant external supervision requirements
- Provide inspirational leadership to the Court of Protection & Private Client team including recruitment, motivation, training and supporting of team members as required
- Implement and monitor departmental plans
- Support the budgeting process for Court of Protection & Private Client
- Lead the Court of Protection & Private Client department directly managing the departments operational needs working with our cost and finances team to manage all key reporting metrics
- Coach, develop and support managers to achieve excellent people leadership practice
- To run a reduced load of circa. 25% of a full capacity numbers varying in value and technicality
- Dealing with all aspects of the lifecycle of the trust and deputyship matters
