Join our dynamic manufacturing team in South Oxfordshire We are a well-established engineering company specializing in high-precision components for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and medical devices. Our commitment to quality and innovation has made us a leader in the field, and we are now looking for a skilled Lead CNC Machinist to join our growing team.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the CNC machining department, providing guidance and leadership to a team of machinists.
Programming & Setup: Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5-axis machines using CAD/CAM software. Set up machines, including tooling and fixturing, for efficient production runs.
Quality Control: Ensure all machined parts meet tight tolerances and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot any machining issues.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve process efficiency.
Training & Development: Mentor and train junior machinists, sharing best practices and helping to develop their technical skills.
Maintenance: Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machines are well-maintained and downtime is minimized.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in CNC machining, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
Proficient in CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or similar), machine setup, and operation. Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software.
Attention to Detail: Ability to work with tight tolerances and ensure high-quality output.
