The John Roan School has recently been rated as Good by Ofsted for its Quality of Education so now, as part of the school's journey from 'good to great', we are looking for someone who knows what great teaching and learning looks like and who cares passionately about all students being entitled to a great provision. The school's approach to teaching and learning is guided by an understanding of the Science of Learning and specifically Rosenshine's principles, which teaching staff are trained on throughout the year. Weekly Deliberate Practice sessions as well as termly Twilight training are used as part of a thorough CPD entitlement for all staff as part of a genuine commitment to developing people at all levels to bring out the best in everyone.
