Legal & Compliance Manager, European Mid-Market Private Equity Fund, London, UK

Our client, a European mid-market Private Equity Firm are looking to hire a Legal & Compliance Manager. The fund invests across a range of sectors, including the healthcare and consumer space. They are experiencing increasing levels of growth, and are looking for a Legal and Compliance professional to become part of the small but impressive London-based team. As the Compliance & Legal Manager you will be working closely with the CFO on a daily basis, taking the lead on the majority of compliance related tasks and supporting on legal requests along with providing operational support on an ad-hoc basis.
The role is open to a full time or part-time (four days per week) basis.
Lead on company secretarial and governance activity for the fund
Carry out financial crime oversight
Complete AML/ KYC for new investments
Provide accurate compliance advice to deals team
Oversee ESG compliance processes
Offer support to the finance team through carrying out fund notices, investor reports and management/statutory accounts
Legal or Compliance experience within the private markets or alternative investment space
Exposure to both legal and compliance would be advantageous
Exposure to operations teams within venture capital funds/ investment management would be advantageous
