SEMH Teaching Assistant - Fulwood - ASAP start

Are you a resilient character with positive behaviour management?
We are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant at an alternative provision in Fulwood, to deliver person centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health problems. You will be working with children and young people who need 1:1 support for multiple reasons, such as:
Children in Looked After Care
Speech and language difficulties
Physical and mental health issues, disabilities and learning difficulties
Some experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour
Experience of de-escalation training would be advantageous
The school would also consider candidates from youth work backgrounds, or similar roles
Willingness to enhance skills with professional training and development

Contract/Job details
Position - Specialist Teaching Assistant
Start date - ASAP
Duration - Full academic year
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
GCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent.
Team Teach training would be beneficial to this role, however this can be provided for free.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide a full CV from high school to present with all gaps explained
