Are you a passionate and dedicated graduate looking to kick-start your career in education?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Islington. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across various subject areas. This may include helping students with assignments, clarifying instructions, and ensuring they stay on task.
Address behavioural issues and report any concerns to the teacher or school administration.
Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials, including photocopying worksheets, organizing instructional materials, and setting up equipment for lessons. Work with students who have special educational needs or require additional assistance. Implement strategies and accommodations outlined in Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to help these students succeed academically and socially.
Collaborate with the teacher to track student progress and maintain records of grades and performance to support ongoing assessment and reporting.
Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive classroom atmosphere by implementing behaviour management techniques and supporting the teacher in maintaining discipline and order. These responsibilities highlight the crucial role of a teaching assistant in supporting the educational process and ensuring the well-being of students in a secondary school setting.

A degree in any subject area, showcasing your commitment to academic excellence. An enthusiastic and proactive approach, demonstrating your passion for education and your willingness to go above and beyond to support student learning.
Flexibility and adaptability, as you will be working across various subjects and supporting different teaching styles.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school environment.
Hold a DBS registered to the update service or apply through GSL Education.
