Teaching Personnel in partnership with specialist provisions in the East Lancashire area who are looking to hire a psychology graduate / aspiring teaching assistants to support the learning and development of their pupils. The role will include supporting the holistic development of the pupils as well as their educational development as the pupils do all require additional support and will have an EHC / IEP plan that will need to be adhered to.
The planning will be prepared for you, and you will have scheduled sessions in the week to discuss the pupils progress with the class teachers. The pupils at this specialist school have SEMH difficulties and can display challenging behaviour, as part of your role you will need to be able to work in high pressure situations and diffuse them in a calm and professional manner. The school’s highest priority is always the wellbeing and safeguarding of the pupils as many are vulnerable so being able to follow all schools’ policies and guidelines is paramount in safeguarding all pupils needs.
Placements available and suitable to graduates / students and aspiring teachers.
Access to first rate courses and training (CPD) in a National Teaching School.
Degrees highly sort after include Education based, Psychology and Sport.
Experience is desirable but not essential, Teaching Personnel can offer you various training courses to build your knowledge and experience (behaviour management, safeguarding).
