Senior Architect

As a senior technical architect, you will be the trusted advisor and leader of architecture to multiple teams within the Customer Experience Platforms (CEP) team.
Within the CEP team you will be working on communication generation and document storage solutions to ensure that customers receive documents at the right time and in the right format.
You will also be looking to support the automation team to improve the service to customers.
This role is required to improve digital solutions to our customers whilst still providing the flexibility to provide communications based on customer preferences.
You will also provide the point of expertise/consultancy for key strategic technology issues – responding with structured, sound and informed options to enable change programmes and their sponsors to make decisions.
You will support the Principal Architect, or CIO, in defining aspects of the Technology Architecture to provide direction for change practitioners within a domain, change portfolio or programme to ensure that it is optimised to deliver to the target architecture.

You’ll work closely with multi-functional agile teams consisting of Product Owners, Engineers, Operations, Security and other Architects.
You’ll develop and manage an architectural team which may include the flexing of the team during large projects by using external resources from key suppliers.
You’ll gain an understanding of the near and far term outcomes to build and maintain architectural roadmaps that enable agile iterative development while progressing enterprise capability.
You’ll work with external agencies and consultancies to ensure that emerging trends and innovations are understood and leveraged by Nationwide, as appropriate.
You’ll lead and ensure the delivery of the Solution Architecture as directed by a Principal Architect as required by change portfolios or major change programmes; You’ll have experience in solution-based architecture in large, complex, regulated environments, designing solutions that provide communications to customers and digitisation, including:
Integrating bespoke software, commercial off-the-shelf packages, and 3rd party services.
Prioritising and responding to business and technology strategies and priorities.
Developing and implementing target state architectures and technology roadmaps.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of engagement and influencing both business and technical stakeholders.
