THE SEARCH:
Interim AI Delivery Lead required. Altus Partners has been mandated by a leading London-based mid market private equity firm to carry out the search for an interim AI Delivery Lead (initial 12 month contract).
The AI Delivery Lead will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and deployment of an AI roadmap. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a deep understanding of AI technologies, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive AI adoption and deliver business value.
THE ROLE:
Lead the planning, execution and delivery of AI projects – ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
Lead the AI working group – comprising of members from IT, Legal & Compliance, and Investment teams.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable AI solutions.
Coordinate, negotiate with, and manage expectations of diverse stakeholders with conflicting priorities, interests and timescales.
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects – from ideation, running pilots, firmwide deployments, comms plans, training sessions and ongoing monitoring.
Ensure the quality, scalability, and performance of AI solutions, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with AI projects, addressing ethical concerns, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
Develop and implement strategies for the effective integration of AI solutions into existing business processes and systems.
Work closely with the Data and Analytics team to coordinate efforts on data management and improving data quality.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Plan, prepare, organize and run training programmes to build AI literacy across the firm.
Communicate project status, risks, and achievements to stakeholders, including executive leadership, through regular reporting and presentations.
Stay up-to-date with emerging AI trends, technologies, and best practices, and identify opportunities for leveraging AI to drive business growth.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in leading and delivering AI projects in a complex, enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of AI technologies – including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and ethical AI principles.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Ideally, proficiency in programming languages and tools used for AI development, such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
Ideally, industry certifications or professional accreditations related to AI and project management.
Ideally, knowledge of cloud computing platforms and their AI/ML offerings (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
