Senior Linked Data Developer Role Overview Join us as a Semantic Web Specialist driving the architecture and implementation of cutting-edge linked data solutions. You'll design robust semantic models for environmental observation data, craft SHACL-based validation frameworks, and build scalable services that marry performance with W3C standards. Collaborate with domain experts to transform requirements into RDF models and guide best practices in semantic web compliance. What You'll Do Engineer validation schemas aligned with SOSA/SSN standards Develop DCAT3-compliant metadata services and SKOS vocabularies Implement Triple Pattern Fragments for efficient data access Optimize semantic models for speed and standards compliance Create tools for data harmonization and domain modeling Design versioning strategies for evolving vocabularies Build Hydra-compliant hypermedia APIs Handle geospatial data using WKT and geographic vocabularies Write and tune SPARQL queries, integrate SQL-to-RDF pipelines Deliverables SHACL validation schemas with automated testing Semantic models and vocabulary management systems DCAT3 metadata services, SKOS vocabularies Triple Pattern Fragments and Hydra APIs Geospatial processing tools and harmonization workflows Optimized SPARQL queries and transformation code Technical documentation and architecture guides Must-Have Skills Expert in RDF, RDFS, OWL, SHACL, and semantic web standards Deep knowledge of SKOS, DCAT3, SOSA/SSN, Hydra Proficient in SPARQL, SQL, and data validation frameworks Strong ability to translate domain needs into semantic models Experience with federated linked data architectures Bonus Points For Triple Pattern Fragments, JSON-LD APIs, performance tuning OGC standards and environmental data formats FastAPI, Python, Docker, Git, and modern workflows What We Offer Work-life Balance: Flexible and hybrid working options Annual Leave: Generous allowance with buy/sell flexibility Pension: Award-winning scheme with up to 15% employer contribution Healthcare: Company-funded private healthcare via BUPA Development: Personal development and training opportunities Flexible Benefits: Customizable lifestyle, health, and wellbeing options Discounts: Everyday savings with retailers, restaurants, and leisure activities Support: Confidential Employee Assistance Programme At Telespazio UK, the well-being, safety, and development of our people are at the heart of our corporate culture.
