John Lewis Partnership Commercial Vehicle Technicians are the lifeblood of our logistics network. Our Light Vehicle Technicians are encouraged to manage their own time, while being proactive to ensure our Commercial Fleet is maintained.
Salary - The salary offered for this role is up to £42,700, plus a shift premium (calculated from the bottom of the pay range). Your potential earnings could be up to £50,000 including Shift premium and OTE (On Target Earnings).
Please note this role will attract a shift premium of 20% of the base rate
Working Hours - Full time role, 37.5 hours per week on a 2 week rota, with the expectation of working 1 in 2 Saturdays, at premium overtime rates.
Week 1: Monday to Friday - 06:00-14:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday - 13:30 - 21:30
Contract type - This is a permanent role.
As well as ensuring that the relevant sections of all inspections, services and defect sheets are completed in compliance with our O Licence obligations, and that all spares requests and time books are completed daily. You will need to be aware of best practice and current commercial vehicle repair techniques, to be able to ensure that high quality repairs are carried out in a cost effective manner and that the use of spare parts and consumables reflect the level of work carried out.
Our Vehicle Workshop is growing and youll be working with many experienced Partners. Our current technicians will ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed and excel in your role, giving you the opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress your career. Youll also be around to support the development of our apprentices within the workshop too. Working in our Vehicle workshop is a fun and welcoming environment. Full UK Driving Licence
A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs
Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness
A 'C' or 'C+E' driving licence is desirable, but not essential
