We are looking for a highly skilled Lead AI Solutions Architect to join a transformative programme within a major government department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, regulated environments and is passionate about designing scalable, ethical AI solutions that deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and lead the delivery of enterprise-grade AI solutions.
Design and implement Target Operating Models (TOMs) for AI adoption.
Ensure compliance with government standards, data protection, and ethical AI principles.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align AI strategy with business goals.
Contribute to reusable architecture patterns and internal capability uplift.
Provide technical assurance and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Experience

Proven track record in designing and scaling AI/ML solutions in regulated environments.
Deep understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, model governance, and risk-based assurance.
Hands-on experience with platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Google Vertex, and open-source AI/ML stacks.
Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks and their implementation.
Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex requirements into actionable solutions.

Additional Criteria

Direct authorship of solution design documentation.
Experience defining architectural guardrails and technical standards.
Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions hands-on, not just in a managerial capacity.
Comfortable operating as a “doer” — rolling up sleeves and contributing technically.
