Are you a Health and Safety Advisor who can advise, facilitate and champion for Health and Safety delivery within their projects? Can you promote a culture where everyone feels included, no matter what role they play?

Select Plant Hire are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor at our largest depot in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. Select Plant Hire provides the most technically advanced cranes and hoist equipment, accommodation and services to the construction industry both in the UK and Australia.
At Select you can be a part of a team that challenges industry partners to work collaboratively in order to achieve engineered safety. Innovating on improved equipment design and developing enhanced training programmes are just two ways Select aims to raise standards of safety across all of its business streams.

What will the role look like?

  • To provide local advice and support necessary to assist managers and staff to fulfil their safety responsibilities to the high standards demanded by the Business.
  • To facilitate and coach operational teams on I+W and the respective engagement tools, which allow the team to engage effectively with the workforce.
  • To carry out relevant H&S assurance activities, providing confidence to the business that operational effectiveness of all relevant processes is being delivered.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Qualification at level 3 (min)
  • Knowledge of previous H&S regulations around the plant hire industry, tower cranes, plant hire equipment
  • Technical knowledge in Occupational Health risk management and wellbeing
  • Technical knowledge in Environmental risk management
  • Technical knowledge in Safety risk management
  • Coaching / Training competence
  • Assurance / Audit / Investigation competence
