Actemium Instrumentation, Control and Switchgear are looking for a Wire Person to join our team in Staverton, Gloucester. Working closely with manufacturing and engineering disciplined engineers.

The Role
To manufacture and test a range of bespoke control panels from empty enclosure; selecting components, layouts and wiring up following electrical drawings and instructions. Working safely, accurately and efficiently to tight deadlines.
- To accurately and efficiently build and wire control panels following electrical drawings and instructions within specified timescales.
- To carry out appropriate pre-delivery inspection and testing on finished control panels both on the shop floor and at customer premises in line with approved standards and customer requirements.
- To maintain safe working practices and adhere to quality control procedures at all times.
The Person
- Previous panel wiring/panel building experience essential. LV Switchgear, motor control principles and control panel design experience desirable.
- Previous experience of interpreting electrical drawings and technical instructions.
- Positive 'can do' attitude. With good attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills. With the ability to flexibly and proactively manage changing priorities and work to tight timescales.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently and effectively on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communications skills, must be able to communicate at all levels.
- Able to work extended and/or unsocial hours to the full requirements of the role
