Safe House Advocates provide a high-quality emotional and practical frontline support to residents who may have experienced trafficking and modern slavery, including sexual and criminal exploitation, domestic servitude, and other forms of exploitation.
Alongside supporting survivors, you will be conducting daily, weekly and monthly health and safety checks to ensure the building is safe and secure for the residents.
Advocate on behalf of residents to ensure access to ECAT rights and help them navigate through the NRM
Identify and assess any risks and put in place appropriate safeguarding measures in response to these risks.
Professionally deal with urgent requests and unpredicted issues
Have a good grasp of public and private services available to residents with no recourse to public funds as well as those who do have recourse. Write official letters on behalf of service users to the Home Office, or other partner agencies
Attendance at team meetings, supervisions with your line manager, clinical supervision and mandatory training sessions
Safeguarding vulnerable adults
Safeguarding Adults - Desirable
Experience of supported accommodation and housing management - Desirable
Ability to manage schedules and deadlines while also being able to prioritise urgent matters
Confidence in using multiple platforms (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, case recording)
Fire safety - Desirable
Knowledge of Immigration Pathways - Desirable
