Accounting Clerk / Administrator – Are you an experienced Accounting Clerk? Looking for an exciting change in your career? If so, we could be looking for you The company has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join their team based in Stowmarket, Suffolk for 2 ½ days a week (preferably on Tuesdays and Thursdays). As an Accounting Clerk, you will be confident to undertake a range of finance and administrative tasks. Your main duties will involve nominal, sales, and purchase ledger management, dealing with the monthly payroll programme, and other duties such as Maintaining Company Insurances records and much more About them: They are a highly successful, small, friendly, and multi-award-winning software company. Other Accounting Clerk key duties include:
  • Inputting supplier remittance and payroll amounts
  • Bank account reconciliations and monitoring activity on accounts
  • VAT admin
  • Process Direct Debits & Standing Orders
  • Respond to customer queries
  • Check PL invoices and credit notes
  • Calculates sales commissions
  • Assist with Year End programmes, reports and submissions
About You: For this Accounting Clerk / Administrator role, the successful candidate will have previous experience in an accounting or finance role. You will have solid understanding of corporate finance and basic bookkeeping experience. Good IT skills, attention to detail and, proficiency with numeracy are essential skills for this role. You will thrive when working in a team as well as independently, be an excellent communicator and can adapt to changing situations. As well as this, you will be a flexible problem solver and ensure general management of the office.
