About Wheatsheaf Quarry:
Established just over a decade ago, Wheatsheaf Quarry is a leading land-based River/Pit Run Greywacke quarry serving the Southern Christchurch and Banks Peninsula Districts. We prioritise safety, operational excellence, and community engagement in all that we do.
Role Overview:
As a Quarry Supervisor, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily production, optimising operational efficiency, and upholding rigorous safety standards. Leading a team, you'll champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering inclusivity.
Your responsibilities will include managing production, controlling costs, and maintaining stock, all while prioritising health, safety, and environmental policies to create a positive and inclusive workplace.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in quarry operations, with a solid understanding of NZ Quarry Regulations (B Grade COC preferred).
- Knowledge of health and safety and employment legislation.
- Ability to mentor and develop a high-performance team.
- Strong communication skills with the capacity to build effective relationships.
- Highly organised with demonstrated planning and delivery capabilities.
