This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team of Learning Support Assistants. We support students between the ages of 8-19 years to gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to move forward in their lives. Our client has a successful tradition of supporting students between the ages of 8 18 with Autism, Social Emotional, Mental Health and Complex Needs, to gain valuable guidance, life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their journey towards independence. The passionate, dedicated team recognise this is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity and are seeking those who are empathetic, resilient and compassionate to join them in providing the right care and support for our young people to grow and develop as individuals.

The main focus of this role will be to : Follow plans and directions from the Teacher or Instructor Using specialist (curricular / learning) skills / training / experience to support learners. Assisting with the development and implementation of learner behaviour support plans, individual risk assessments and communication strategies. Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all learners within an educational environment. Supporting learners consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs. Working with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons / work plans as appropriate.

Knowledge of the Educational, Health, Care Plan process

Knowledge of Data Protection Act and confidentiality issues

07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
