AD Energy - Commissioning/Service Engineer

AD Energy is currently recruiting for a Commissioning/Service Engineer experienced in electrical and mechanical equipment optimization, commissioning/installation, and software integration at customer sites. This customer-focused opportunity within a growing business involves onsite work in Worcester and visiting world-class customer sites within the automotive sector. Training will be provided for individuals with good hands-on skills and some commissioning experience.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ability to read and understand complex electrical and mechanical drawings
  2. Good understanding of engine and component testing theory (preferred)
  3. Ability to understand systems from documentation only
  4. Delivery of control system applications, focusing on:
    • Timing
    • Technical requirements of both the client and business
    • Cost management and budget adherence
    • Changes to specifications and cost implications
    • Risk assessment
    • Customer liaison
  5. Reporting of project progress in Engineering, Manufacture, Delivery, Installation, Commissioning, and Handover
  6. Capture of additional requirements, labor, and materials
  7. Ability to produce technical documentation (drawings, calibration certs, etc.)
  8. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles
  9. Experience with MS Visual Studio and Microsoft Operating systems XP, 7, 10
  10. Knowledge of Ethernet networking and protocols
  11. Identifying and solving problems efficiently under pressure
  12. Providing training and support to colleagues and customers
  13. Good understanding of C#/SQL and programming skills (preferred)
  14. Ability to specify and liaise on the procurement of assemblies and components
  15. Supporting existing hardware and software platforms with customer support
  16. Competent PC user with proficiency in standard Office software packages
  17. Maintenance and development of departmental documentation and systems
  18. On-site installation, commissioning, and calibration of company products
  19. Reporting to the Line Manager and Directors
