Gentell First Water is seeking a talented Product Development Manager to join our growing UK team where we design, develop and manufacture a wide range of patented hydrogel-based wound dressings for sale via leading medical brands in the medical and retail markets globally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop advanced polymer formulations for wound care.
- Assess dressing performance using varied testing methods.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to translate research into commercial products.
- Enhance product, focusing on biocompatibility and efficiency.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of polymer science and related fields to inform innovative strategies.
- Create detailed technical documentation to support the commercialisation and regulatory submissions team.
- Mentor team members and lead project planning to meet strategic objectives.
The Company
In spring 2024, First Water was acquired by Gentell USA, one of the world’s fastest-growing wound care companies. Gentell has sites across the world including USA, Brazil, Canada and the UK. We are looking to establish the new Gentell First Water as the global leader in the development and manufacture of advanced wound dressings comprising specialist hydrogel polymers.
The Person
- Holds a PhD or Master’s degree in Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- Demonstrated expertise in medical device development and polymer chemistry.
- Strong track record in the healthcare industry, particularly with the development of documentation to support regulatory submissions for Class II and Class III Medical Devices in the UK, EU and USA.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team setting.
- Wants to work as part of an ambitious team on a mission to be the most respected group of advanced wound dressing developers in the world.
