Elevation Recruitment Group - Marketing Division are excited to be exclusively working with an international product distributor with a technical and engineering focus.

Our client has a long standing reputation for efficient customer care, supporting customers worldwide through its global network focused on the development of new products that improve efficiency, offer lower cost of ownership and reduce environmental impact.

General overview:

Responsible for managing and promoting the product throughout the product lifecycle from market analysis in cooperation with the regional sales managers, through product development planning to execution in support of organisational strategy and objectives. The product manager is the owner of the product for business and secures that product roadmap, product development planning and marketing in collaboration with the ATB/Wolong factories with aim to insure each product leads to commercial success.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

The Product Manager s role is key to the development of the Distribution product portfolio, and therefore the sustainable and profitable growth of the Global business for the company.

Research and analysis:

  • Research and analyse market conditions
  • Identify key competitor and consumer trends
  • Articulate market requirements and opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
  • Work with research regarding product development

Product Planning and Management

  • Determine product specifications
  • Define the long term strategy of the product and create product road map
  • Prepare product documents including Market Requirement Documents and product use cases to drive product activity
  • Develop pricing strategies and product policies
  • Determine product packaging solutions
  • Oversee product development
  • Manage and communicate with cross functional teams

Product Marketing

  • Develop product marketing plan and event campaigns to generate product awareness and demand
  • Plan product launch
  • Liaise with advertising and public relations to promote product
  • Support sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise
  • Conduct product presentations
  • Develop sales tools and sales training material provide input for marketing col-lateral development Supply sales with latest research and marketing information
  • Implement marketing plan in conjunction with all departments
  • Drive ongoing improvement in sales and profitability

To be successful in the role of Global Product Manager we require the following skills and experience:

  • Have experience of working within a product manager role
  • Have experience of working with product specifications, product strategy and product marketing
  • Have worked within a distribution service background or a technical engineering background
  • Happy to travel internationally for 10% of the year
  • Have a full UK driving licence
