Mechanical Estimator

Red Rock Consultants are currently working with a well-established and reputable Air Conditioning company based in Kent. Due to company expansion, they are now recruiting for a Mechanical Estimator to take a lead role within the company, handling the full tender package from the initial receipt of tender to the issue of a quotation to the client.

Duties of the Mechanical Estimator will be:

* Taking off drawings and schematics for inputting into the estimating software the company uses (Ensign estimating).

* Compiling information from nominated contractor and supplier costs into the estimate spreadsheets and compiling the covering letter for review of both at director level before issuing out.

* Works in connection with rate documents for roll out type installations.

* Will be able to decipher ‘drawings’ as mechanical drawings are not always designed fully.

* Have previous experience using Trimble, if not adept at it then training will be provided.

* Fully experienced in all Mechanical Estimating.

* Proven experience in a similar position with an M&E contractor.

* Ideally 5 years’ experience working in a similar role such as a Mechanical Estimator.
