System Network Engineer

The global environment is varied and complex, incorporating bare metal, virtualised, and containerised Windows and Linux workloads, both on private and public cloud.

You will work on cross-functional infrastructure solutions, helping with business continuity management exercises, problem investigations, incident resolution and system builds, whilst striving for continuous improvement.

You will be required to provide out of hours support on a rota basis, which may also require weekend in office presence from time to time.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Previous experience in a support based role, supporting an incident management function and knowledge of ITIL.
Linux (preferably Red Hat derivatives) or Windows system administration.
Experience in the use of virtual infrastructures, including using VMware tools.
Fundamental understanding of networking, load balancing, storage and virtualisation.
Supporting, maintaining, building and managing privately hosted container platforms, systems and storage.
Monitoring our critical systems, whilst suggesting and creating additional monitoring systems, dashboards and processes to further improve visibility.
Ensuring collaboration channels are used to help resolve incidents in the fastest way possible.
