Role Purpose: T he role involves molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, protein purification and protein characterisation techniques. The role will involve working on multiple customer projects. As part of your role, good record keeping, understanding of regulatory requirements and skilled presentation of data will be essential. The role will involve the execution and documentation of work to regulatory required standards.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
- P erform Vector Constructions, express and purify encoded proteins using platform mammalian expression system according to strict SOPs.
- Perform a range of purification techniques for the purification of proteins.
- Perform a range of analytical assays for protein characterization.
- Prepare high quality reports and data summaries.
- Performing lab and area inspections to maintain high levels of quality and safety. Contribute to lab cleaning rota and Operational Excellence initiatives.
- Effectively communicate with external customers and internal stakeholders across departments and sites.
Qualifications/Skills:
Degree (or equivalent) in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology and/or relevant experience in an industrial lab environment.
