They provide Mechanical and Electrical building services, BIM and Intelligent Building Energy Management Solutions (iBEMS), working alongside leading contractors and blue chip multi-national brands to deliver large scale projects on time, within budget and always within a safe and controlled environment.
The M&E Design Engineers & Project Managers are all experienced in working projects where low carbon solutions are required, to achieve Part L Building Regulations compliance and / or BREEAM accreditation.
Rainwater Harvesting
The role of BIM Coordinator provides essential support to the pre construction design team, creating high quality 3D models using Autodesk Revit software. Applications are invited from Technicians and Coordinators who are competent users of Revit and fully conversant with the challenges of providing energy efficient HVAC building services systems - a mechanical engineering background with be ideal.
Required project knowledge and experience:
* Capable of reviewing the design brief with a senior design engineer and understanding the general issues.
* Knowledge of the latest design standards, building regulations and a basic understanding of how to correctly implement them.
* Assess client issued drawings with a senior design engineer, and review for structural implications to design.
* Follow a design checklist for monitoring of the design process.
* Follow the HMS standard design procedure document, working with and supporting a Senior Engineer with heat loss / gain calculations.
* Commence system layout from rough sketches by the engineer in Revit taking into account the space requirements, co-ordination with other M&E systems and other trades.
* Design of mechanical services systems including: HVAC, Domestic water, Drainage systems, Gas
* Competent use of Autodesk Revit for creation of services drawings, schematics and coordination of multiple services.
