Likewise, since entering the project development business in 2010, Canadian Solar has developed, built, and connected over 9 GWp of solar power projects and over 3 GWh of battery storage projects across the world. Currently, the Company has approximately 700 MWp of solar power projects in operation, 8 GWp of projects under construction or in backlog (late-stage), and an additional 17 GWp of projects in advanced and early-stage pipelines. In addition, the Company has a total battery storage project development pipeline of 52 GWh, including approximately 2 GWh under construction or in backlog, and an additional 50 GWh at advanced and early-stage development. Commercial Manager - EMEA

Reports to : Senior Global Commercial Director
Commercial Manager will play a critical role in our rapidly growing Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) team and our expansion within EMEA. Commercial Manager will own and lead the RFP & competitive bid processes, the negotiation of contracts with contractors & suppliers, conduct cost analysis, and making strategic product decisions for projects ranging in scope and complexity for assigned projects.
Own and lead the RFP response and competitive bid processes for projects within EMEA, analyzing commercial and legal aspects of Customer RFPs to develop a competitive submission to continue to grow the execution pipeline.
Lead the Customer and sub-contractor contract negotiation phase for equipment, services, and EPC contracts by collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks.
Develop key requirements for RFPs to sub-contractors and evaluate the bid results.
Responsible for bid analysis and modelling to support the strategic procurement process.
Work with supply chain to capture competitive intelligence and generate insights on supply chain and BESS landscape.
Actively identify opportunities to improve business processes and support the implementation of such.
Ensure the organization's internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained.
Provide contract support to the Project’s team during contract execution.
Bachelor’s degree in either Business, Engineering, Management, Finance, or Economics or related field degree.
Commercial contract negotiation and RFPs management experience for equipment supply in the energy sector.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
Fluent in English in speaking and writing. Fluency in Spanish / German is favourable.
Strong “intrapreneurial" mindset for process analysis, problem solving and strategy development skills.
Ability to take critical decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data and under time pressure.
Willingness and ability to travel and work intensively during negotiation periods.
Excellent communication skills and confidence with executive level presentations
Demonstrated teamwork skills and proven leadership skills in virtual project teams.
