Job Description

My client is looking for a proven Account Manager / Business Developer who is fluent in both Italian and English to support them of their next phase of growth. Based from their office in North Bedfordshire, you will become an integral member of their vibrant sales team.

You will be responsible for generating and identifying new business leads and opportunities in Italy, converting these into sales as well as managing existing key accounts

Key responsibilities

  • Research organisations and decision makers across a range of online and offline channels, including social media, competitor websites and trade publications in order to identify new leads and potential markets for products and services
  • Undertake needs analyses of potential customers to develop product and service solutions
  • Contacting potential customers via telephone, email and social media to introduce the company, set-up meetings where required and establish a rapport
  • Account manage new customers secured to ensure repeat purchase
  • Undertake direct marketing activities such as emails and mailings to generate sales
  • Follow-up marketing campaigns and incoming enquiries in a timely manner to maximise sales potential
  • Research and attend useful networking events to generate new sales and leads
  • Contact clients to inform them about new developments in the company’s product and services portfolio
  • Develop sales pitches, proposals, and presentations
  • Work with the procurement team to generate quotes for customers
  • Work with the fulfilment team to ensure stock products are delivered accordingly and to keep yourself abreast of new product developments
  • Work with the marketing team to develop lead opportunities from campaigns
  • Keep abreast with industry and competitor marketing and sales activities Make recommendations for incentives, objection handling and marketing activities to the team to assist in maximising closing and lead generation
  • Ensure products are delivered to specification, on time and meet customer expectations
  • Undertake customer research and customer satisfaction surveys
  • Attend exhibitions generating leads and follow these up post event
  • Update and maintain the company’s CRM system, databases and other internal systems

Key Skills

  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Previous Business development experiences, ideally B2B
  • Excellent communications skills - verbal and written
  • Ability to work to and ideally exceed targets
  • Self motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Skilled in negotiation, judgment, and decision-making
  • IT literate - MS Office and CRM systems
  • Strong numerical skills
