Research Co-ordinator
Cardiff/Llandudno Junction (Hybrid Working)
At Social Care Wales, we provide leadership and expertise in social care and early years in Wales. Our vision is to make a positive difference to care and support for children, adults, and their families and carers.
To achieve this, we lead on developing and regulating the social care workforce, service improvement, and data and research to improve care. Through our quality assurance work, we support social work educators in both education and practice settings, ensuring the highest level of training for the next generation of social workers.
We are now looking for two Research Co-ordinators to join us for fixed term contracts. These are offered with flexible working options and we will consider candidates as part of a job share.

As a Research Co-ordinator, you will translate academic and robust research into accessible and engaging content for social care professionals across Wales.
This will support our Improvement and Development Directorate's mission of using research, data and innovation to inform policy, service design and practice in the social care sector.
You will collaborate with stakeholders such as academics and policy researchers to produce research-based content, ensuring it is clear, easily understood and aligned with our tone of voice.
Additionally, you will edit, proofread and provide feedback on content, ensuring accessibility and adherence to organisational policies.
To be considered as a Research Co-ordinator, you will need:
- Experience translating research for a non-academic audience
- An understanding of the academic and policy research environment and how research is produced
- Familiarity with the language of social science research and research methods
- An undergraduate degree, equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
