Job Title: Solution Architect

Location: Hybrid (Luton, UK)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £500 - £550/day

As a Solution Architect, you will lead the solution architecture definition for complex, end-to-end solutions. Collaborating with functional consultants, technical architects, and Enterprise Architects, you will help drive the long-term architectural direction of easyJet’s transformation programme, delivering innovative solutions that meet both business and technical needs.Key Responsibilities

  • Lead solution ideation, design, and implementation activities.
  • Analyze business challenges and design solutions that align with the company’s vision, recommending potential options, and selecting the most optimal one.
  • Communicate solution architecture to stakeholders, collaborating with domain architects to formalize IT standards and procedures.
  • Champion a structured approach to business application solutions.
  • Assist in developing a solutions architecture program, including roadmaps and project portfolios.
  • Ensure solutions align with technology standards and propose changes when needed.
  • Collaborate with the domain architecture team on solution management and financial timing.
  • Support all architectural aspects of peer IT application projects.
  • Recommend appropriate technology solutions, upgrades, or decommissioning to meet business and technology needs.
  • Provide security analysis for necessary protection technologies.
  • (Desirable) Design foundational frameworks leveraging AI/Gen AI to fulfill business needs.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Must have experience in solution architecture within the customer domain, including platforms like CMP, CEP, CIAM, and Consent Management platforms.
  • Must have experience architecting cloud-native solutions, preferably on AWS.
  • Nice to have experience with architecture and technology in the Aviation Commercial domain, such as GDS and PSS systems.
  • Proven leadership in previous engagements and the ability to manage solution design independently within easyJet’s transformation programme.
  • Understanding of the Architecture Review Board and Technical Design Assurance process, with experience delivering solution blueprints and design artefacts.

  • Ability to work independently and assume responsibilities quickly.
  • Broad understanding of IT topics with effective interpersonal and collaborative management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting roles and responsibilities.
  • Technically creative, open-minded, and able to embrace ambiguity.
