ERIBÉ operates with a team of 60 colleagues spread across several locations. As the Garment Technologist, you will be directly responsible for ensuring that ERIBÉ deliver premium quality garments consistently to all customers. You will be the key contact and communication bridge between Design and all manufacturers including the ERIBÉ factory and other partners in the EU to achieve the highest standards of quality. You will report directly into the Head Designer and carry responsibility for determining quality standards for the Quality Management System in conjunction with the Manufacturing Teams. Main Duties:

  • Responsible for setting the standard for quality within the quality management system in collaboration with the manufacturing teams.
  • Managing issues with quality with the manufacturing partners including inhouse.
  • Responsible for supporting the manufacturing teams to achieve a consistent repeatable high standard of quality.
  • Collaborating with the manufacturing teams to identify what the quality control process and checks should be.
  • Supporting the designer and knitwear programmers to develop conversion from concept to product.
  • Responsible for generating the spec sheet (technical pack) for all garments with absolute accuracy whilst understanding yarn and knitwear structure.
  • Provide details and requirements for size standards. Check the fit on various model sizes and documented fit comments ensuring consistent grading.
  • Skill of sketches and CAD drawings is desirable.
  • Develop and modify designs and specifications after consultation with designers through the conversion process to achieve the gold standard. Ensuring that the quality system standards are updated and maintained.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with all colleagues within the wider ERIBÉ team in particular the inhouse manufacturing teams and the external 3rd party manufacturing partners.
  • Support all other areas of the business to ensure they understand what the garments should look like.
  • Create a “what good looks like” example for all garments.
  • Work with the design and wider ERIBÉ team on generating and managing samples and prototypes.
  • Where appropriate develop new and enhanced processes within Design to achieve the quality standards.
Qualifications & Experience :
  • Minimum 5 years+ experience in industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of yarn/gauges, structure of knitwear is essential.
  • Knowledge of market, fashion industry.
  • Skill of managing specifications
  • Ability to take items from design/specification to manufacturing
  • Microsoft excel, words also Adobe Illustrator are essential
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems.
  • Degree/Qualification with Textile/Fashion/Knitwear
