Role outline

Oxbow Resourcing are delighted to be working with this reputable and established Buy to Let Lender who have a successful business spanning over 25 years in the UK Mortgage Market.

As they embark on an exciting phase of growth they are now seeking a dynamic and driven individual to lead their Risk and Compliance team, in this newly created role.

As Head of Risk and Compliance, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the business operates in full compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining their reputation and integrity in the industry.

Your expertise will shape the risk management framework and you will play a key part in guiding strategic decisions for sustainable growth of the business.

The role

  • Develop and implement robust Risk Management Framework, Policies, and Procedures.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes, driving necessary adaptations within the organization.
  • Provide expert guidance on data protection, AML requirements, and other regulatory matters.
  • Analyze key risks and exposures, presenting insights to senior management.
  • Foster stakeholder relationships and manage supplier contracts effectively.
  • Eventually take on the role of MLRO and Financial Crime Officer.

Skills and experience required

  • Proven leadership in managing complex projects and teams.
  • Extensive experience in financial services , ideally within the mortgage industry.
  • Strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in IT tools, with a keen eye for detail and analytical prowess.
  • Resilient, proactive, and self-motivated mindset.
