What will I be doing?

In its simplest and most explicit form, industrial safety can be a matter of life or death. As an NDT Engineer for BES Group, you will be helping to make a safer place for industry, businesses, and for people whenever and wherever, in this role you will carry out a range of NDT inspections to ensure compliance with statutory and/or legislative requirements, making sure you follow all relevant procedures.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

1. To carry out inspections in accordance with relevant procedures and to the required standard.
2. To interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards, codes, or specifications.
3. To carry out all relevant equipment checks and calibrations as required by the standard or test procedures.
4. Working to international standards ensuring requirements within them are met.
5. To collect, collate and report with sketches, where applicable, the result of the NDT examination. To present reports containing all relevant information in a factual, comprehensive and unambiguous manner
6. Support the team with process improvement.
7. To maintain all records, standards, procedures, notes, and logbooks in an orderly, efficient manner and have them for audit.

What experience do I need?

Our team consists of the best, highly skilled and qualified NDT Engineers and we want our new recruits to have the same attitude, aptitude, and appetite for what we do.

You will need:

1. Minimum NDT qualification must include PCN Level 2 in UT, MPI ad DPI. Ideally candidates will also have PCN Level2 in Eddy Current and PAUT.
2. Candidates must have extensive experience of testing various weld geometries across a wide range of equipment and industries.
3. Candidates must also have the ability to use their initiative whilst working on-site and maintain the highest level of H&S awareness
4. Flexibility to work both on client sites (UK and abroad) and in the laboratory.
5. You will need experience managing your own workload and be happy working in an environment with changing priorities
6. The ability to communicate technical problems with ease
7. A good level of IT and literacy skills in order to complete detailed customer reports.
