This is an exciting part time opportunity to join the Adults Commissioning Team as a Commissioning Manager for the Learning Disability and Autism portfolio. Along with your established job-share partner, you will be supporting the commissioning of services for adults with accommodation needs, including residential and supported living services.
In Peterborough we operate a full cycle commissioning team, which includes both the commissioning of services and contract management. The Commissioning Manager will manage and deliver the strategic commissioning cycle, from determination of need, planning and reconciliation to the councils budget planning cycle, to delivery and management of contracts to meet identified need. You will also have responsibility for managing services throughout their term ensuring performance, quality, and value for money.
This role will include the commissioning, contract monitoring and quality assurance of services, improving the outcomes and independence of vulnerable adults both in the community and elsewhere.
Experience of working in commissioning
The ability to lead in the development and implementation of quantitative and qualitative national and locally agreed outcomes
Excellent project and programme managing skills
Budget monitoring skills
Proficient organisational and planning skills

This is a hybrid role, with opportunity to work from both home and the office base (Sand Martin House, Fletton Way). Occasional local travel to visit services (e.g. residential homes) is also required. In terms of schedule, there is some flexibility on when the part time hours (18-20) can be delivered, and any queries should be directed to the recruitment manager.
