There are three positions available, once post based in central Durham, one based in Horden and the other in Bishop Auckland.

We are currently looking to recruit 3 x Duty Workers to join our substance misuse service in County Durham. The County Durham Drug and Alcohol Service operates across three main hubs based in central Durham, Horden and Bishop Auckland with a vacancy in each. Our substance misuse team provides holistic support for people who are experiencing problematic substance use.

As a Duty worker role you will:
  • Ensure that our service can offer a prompt and responsive front of house system. 
  • This will include seeing emergency clients who are most at risk, supporting keyworkers and integrated teams to ensure effective service delivery.
  • You will need to deliver a comprehensive duty system, including, supporting reception and clinical staff with service delivery, and maintaining rapid access to prescribing function.
This role is pivotal to the success of the service so if you are motivated, work well in a fast-paced environment and want the best for the people we work with – we would love to hear from you.
