Details of the Contract

Contract; Permanent, fulltime role, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Location; Hybrid working- Monday to Thursday in the office (Farnborough or London) and Friday to complete your training. Upon completion of probation, additional flexibility regarding home working may be discussed.
Compensation;Competitive according to apprenticeship pay scales by location

Role Outline
We are delighted to be hiring our first ever marketing apprentice This role has been created to enable a young professional to learn the skills required to deliver high-level strategic marketing support to the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors.
In this role, you will communicate regularly with ADS’ 1200+ members through the creation of email campaigns, create strong content to enhance engagement with ADS social media channels, support the generation of marketing collateral, and help to manage our ongoing campaign activity.
Sitting within the politics, economics, public affairs and media team, you’ll work closely with experts in the sectors to deliver exceptional marketing campaigns that deliver on ADS’ commitment to our members: Securing UK Advantage.
Following your Level 4 Apprenticeship, it is expected that you will stay at ADS as a Marketing Executive to continue your career. Additional formal qualifications may follow, and during your apprenticeship you will be a fundamental part of the PEPAM team.
It is important that you show a genuine interest in marketing and communications to succeed in this role. Although no formal educational requirements are necessary beyond five GCSEs at A*-C, it is likely that you hold A-Levels, B-Techs or equivalent in related disciplines such as photography, English, graphics, business studies, psychology etc. Due to requirements to visit member sites, this position is only available to those over the age of eighteen.
Role Responsibilities
The core skills you will develop include:
- Creation of email marketing campaigns
- Social media content creation
- Website maintenance through Wordpress
- Marketing support around events
- Reporting on marketing campaigns
- Project management
Reporting Structure
The role directly reports to the Head of External Communications, with day-to-day activity managed by the Marketing and Engagement Manager.
Skills & Competencies
As this is an entry-level, training position, skills will be learnt on the job. However, it is desirable that candidates:
- Show an interest in marketing and communications
- Experience using social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Twitter or Facebook
- May have experience in programmes such as Canva, Adobe, Photoshop or equivalent
- Have an interest in the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors
- Possess additional skills such as photography or videography
- Exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to be a strong team player
