You will carry out NDT of weld repairs and collaborate closely with my client's small team of welders. My client specializes in providing a wide array of services to the rail rolling stock industry, including repair, overhaul, consultancy, testing, and training. With expertise dating back to 1994, they have established themselves as a trusted partner for many of the rail industry's largest and most renowned companies.   • PCN Level 2 certification in MT and PT (welds). CSWIP or VT is desirable.
  • Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Full driving license
  • Committed to ongoing improvement and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Confident in advocating for solutions and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Possesses strong critical thinking skills and maintains a positive outlook.
Hours of employment (Apply online only) Mon to Thu, (Apply online only) Fri. (37 hours). 8-hour shifts in the workshop and up to 12-hour shifts off-site when required. Occasional weekends may be required when working off-site. A banked hours system is operated regarding overtime (details explained at interview). Job responsibilities
  • Work to be carried out on and off-site.
  • Setting up and calibrating Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment.
  • Conducting NDT on welds, structures, and materials using appropriate techniques according to relevant standards and procedures.
  • Interpreting and evaluating test results in compliance with established acceptance criteria.
  • Preparing clear and concise test reports.
  • Demonstrating a high level of integrity and professionalism at all times.
  • Maintaining NDT equipment.
