Design Manager - Machinery Manufacturing

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Manager to lead a team of 8 talented professionals, including design engineers and draftsmen. Position Overview: Are you a seasoned Design Manager with a background in mechanical design, particularly in special purpose machinery? As the Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving design excellence, project success, and team collaboration.
Lead and manage a team of 8 design professionals to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects.
* Oversee the development and execution of design projects, from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgetary constraints, and project timelines.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and operations, to optimize design processes, enhance product performance, and meet customer requirements.
* Drive innovation and excellence in design, staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or relevant experience in a related field preferred.
* Proven experience in machinery manufacturing, with a strong background in mechanical design, particularly special purpose machinery.
* Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior management and board.
