A well-established leading manufacturing company based in the Wetherby area are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong Mechanical background. This role is working on a 6am/2pm - 2pm/10pm shift pattern.


This location is commutable by car from Leeds, York, Harrogate, Wetherby, Knaresborough and Selby.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

Requirements of the role:

  • NVQ Level 3 a relevant Mechanical Qualification
  • Sound working knowledge of all mechanical components (pumps, gearboxes, motors, belts, conveyors etc)
  • Min. 2 years working in a Maintenance role within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Fault Finding and diagnosing across Mechanical & Electrical systems
  • To have a good background of Welding, Fabrication and Mechanical Fitting.
The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Working across the factory attending machinery breakdowns and diagnosing faults/route cause analysis, as well as ensuring all planned and routine maintenance activities are carried out and documented on the CMMS.
  • Working with production responding to machinery breakdowns ensuring production downtime is kept to a minimum.
  • Building strong working relationships with other departments to achieve one common goal.
  • You will be responsible for working through the planned maintenance schedule and carrying out any machinery upgrades.
  • You will also be responsible for machinery installations/ moves and modifications of new and older machinery.
  • Thinking outside of the box and being a really strong team player who can use own initiative and demonstrating good ethics and integrity.
